16th IIBCC, Cape Town, South Africa, 2018
The 16th edition of the IIBCC was a great success and we thank you for your attendance and participation! Hosted in Cape Town, South Africa, it was the first IIBCC on the African continent and attracted international attention, thus re-affirming the IIBCC’s position as one of the most significant global events focused on inorganic-bonded composites.
The conference saw more than 250 delegates from across the world attending the jam-packed, four-day program. There were 29 presentations from experts in the fields of architecture, manufacturing, academia, and industry. There were also 23 companies presenting their products and services at Suppliers’ Day. The main sponsor Everite and further 26 sponsoring and exhibiting companies greatly supported this event. At the exhibition, 27 booths staffed with company representatives were open for visits and discussions during the conference. The gala dinner and site visit were also incredibly well received.
We hope that all who attended this year’s conference found it an inspiring and enjoyable space for learning and networking.

Site visit
IIBCC 2018’s main sponsor Everite offered all registered delegates the opportunity to visit its manufacturing plant in Johannesburg. Close to 150 delegates accepted this generous invitation and experienced a highly interesting and smoothly organized tour of the plant, which has been operating since 1941 and is also Africa’s southernmost fiber cement manufacturing plant.
