Welcome to the IIBCC

I am delighted to announce the upcoming event IIBCC 2024, which will take place in Colombo, Sri Lanka. This conference will be another edition of the truly international IIBCC serial event in Asia.

The local organising team under the leadership of Professor Hans Beushausen, University of Cape Town, and the Executive Committee of the IIBCC are already in place; they are taking care of every detail for the next conference to make it a great event. Civil construction continues to grow around the world, and it is good to see that inorganic bonded materials still have a strong presence in both the developing and well-industrialised regions.

So, we are now working hard on the organisation of the next IIBCC Conference in Colombo, Sri Lanka, in 2024, and we look forward to your attendance then. Supplier’s day will take place in one full day to allow suppliers, exhibitors and sponsors more time to present their latest developments.

As before, our conference will provide a dynamic environment for learning and networking. We are particularly interested in obtaining greater participation of young and enthusiastic researchers so that we maintain continuity of development of the Inorganic-Bonded Composites Sector.

We expect to attract more and more users, constructors and architects to the conference so we can again complete the chain of the inorganic-bonded composites based products with the participation of the final applicants of the constructive systems.

You may expect regular communication from the Committee leading up to the 2024 conference, and we will be working to fulfil your expectations.

In the meantime, we welcome your suggestions on the organisation of the conference and comments on our previous efforts. The challenge we gladly accept is to continue the outstanding work started by Prof. Al Moslemi and keep the IIBCC community active and stronger than ever by encouraging the participation of users, industry players, and academia in the continued growth of our conference.
